Our surveys are carried out by licenced professionals, and our client packages extend to data collection and analysis as well as advice and assistance in planning and mitigation for projects.
We are experienced in providing services for all UK bat species, including surveys; advice, enhancements and mitigation assistance. We are practised in obtaining mitigation licenses from Natural England, and tailor our enhancement options to each client. Our services may include habitat, activity and roost surveys: these can lead to monitoring, analysis and ultimately advice and assistance for mitigation and the replacement and reinstating of roosts.
About UK bats:
With 18 species of bat found across the UK, of which 17 have been recorded to breed, there is a wide range of requirements across these mammals. Due to the high levels of protection and declining populations, it is imperative to enlist professional and experienced ecologists prior to beginning any project. Information on the protection of bats can be found within the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 (as amended), the Natural Environment and Rural Communities Act 2006 (NERC), the Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations 2010 and the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000.
