Paul Green

Company Director

As the department head for two of our business sectors, Paul puts his experience of over 40 years to a broad range of uses. With an impressive background in Horticulture, he began to diversify his skillset and quickly came to specialise in Airfield Habitat Management. Now, he provides expert services to airports both in the UK and Europe across airside and landside. As part of our packages, he also provides clients with bespoke training courses. Paul also works with many of our Landscaping clients, delivering on routine or unique projects.

Mary Green

Company Administrator

Mary supports EHM by helping with aspects of the business such as HR, Payroll, and other administrative duties.

 

Client-based Team Members

Reinforcing our long-term relationship with Heathrow Airport Ltd., we are proud to support 6 full-time team members who provide an extension to our services on site. Though based with our client, our extended team members assist with additional departmental services within landscaping and ecology.

Adam Cheeseman

Adam Cheeseman

Biodiversity Manager

Adam has been a valuable member of our Biodiversity Team since 2013 bringing over three decades of experience in species surveys, habitat and site management, and research. Over the years he has gained several qualifications from organisations including NPTC and the FSC having graduated with distinction from Merrist Wood College.

Adam’s knowledge has been shared and enjoyed over the years through a few national and internal media stories including BBC1’s The Great British Year, BBC Radio 4’s Open Country, ITV’s Britain’s Busiest Airport, and featured in one of Jeremy Clarkson’s columns in the Sunday Times. His primary interests are birds, moths, and higher plants.

Lauren Scudder

Ecologist

Lauren is an career ecologist passionate about biodiversity and the wider environment. She works across a range of ecological projects with a focus on surveying, habitat management and biodiversity enhancement. She is also seconded into Heathrow’s Environmental Engineering team, contributing ecological advice, improving systems of work, and leading volunteering events that connect people with nature.

Emma Shaw

Ecological Delivery Manager

Emma has an extensive habitat management background with a variety of NPTC and LANTRA qualifications. She has also gained an ecology consultancy qualification with ETUK further adding to the company’s ecological capabilities. Her key focus with the Heathrow team is to ensure planning and delivery of the ongoing award-winning practical management of our client’s Biodiversity Sites. Away from Heathrow Emma is an active member and trustee for her local conservation charity, Wild Marlow. Her natural history interests are life-long with a generalist passion for all flora and fauna.

Chantelle Lenaghan

Biodiversity Conservation Officer

Chantelle is an Environmental Studies graduate who joined the biodiversity team this year (2026) as a Biodiversity conservation officer. She is looking forward to growing her ecological knowledge and supporting biodiversity across all of the Heathrow sites. As a BCO, she undertakes a range of different roles, from habitat creation and surveying to supporting volunteers to connect with nature. Beyond EHM, Chantelle enjoys supporting her local area via her community group which she established in 2020 as well as nature photography – in particular the macro kind.

Ben Hancock-Smith

Biodiversity Conservation Officer

Ben is a recent BSc Zoology graduate who has recently joined EHM as a Biodiversity Conservation Officer. As an award-winning wildlife photographer and avid birdwatcher, Ben is looking forward to further developing his interest surrounding the natural world at Heathrows biodiversity sites. Additionally, Ben has spent over 5 years volunteering with the Surrey Wildlife Trust and a year volunteering with the RSPB in the Scottish Highlands and is keen to apply the skills he picked up in his new role.

Mick Kavanagh

Habitat Management Officer

Mick has worked in and around Heathrow Airport for many years and has an extensive knowledge of hands-on habitat management. From hedge management and bulb planting, to scrub clearance and targeted invasive species removal, Mick helps Heathrow’s biodiversity sites to thrive. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, either at the lakes at home or in the south of France.
