Phase I Habitat Surveys

Phase I Habitat Surveys

The first stage of the ecological assessment process

The Phase I Habitat Survey is one of the first stages within the ecological assessment process. It is a rapid method for recording the habitat and vegetation, dominant species and important features. It can highlight the potential for protected or important species, which would then lead to further surveys or protection of the habitat.

Our team of ecologists will carry out a desktop survey, prior visit and background mapping prior to conducting the survey on the ground.
