About Project

Over the past two years EHM Ltd has been the recommended ecologist for all Huf-Haus UK projects (https://www.huf-haus.com/en-uk/ ).  This has involved carrying out a number of initial pre development ecological surveys such as Phase I habitat Surveys and Preliminary Ecological Appraisals (PEA). These are carried out as part of the planning application and identify the habitats present on site and the potential for the site to support protected and notable species. An in-depth impact assessment of the proposed development is also carried out and any relevant mitigation strategies are recommended.

Following the initial ecological surveys it is sometimes necessary to recommended additional species surveys, such as bat surveys. This we have done and worked closely with the client and Huf-Haus to minimise delays and disruption to the development whilst ensuring legislation and planning requirements are met.

This work has been varied and taken us across the country. On all these projects we have carried out the work to the required timescale and to an agreed budget. We work closely with the client and the architect to ensure the best solution for the build and the ecology of the site.

If you require similar surveys for your project or general ecological advice and protected species surveys please do not hesitate to contact as.
